This blog post is in response to Natalie’s 10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge Day 6
I’m lucky enough to have met more than one person who is living the kind of writing and blogging life I would like to be living.
In both cases I have paid for their advice and help, and I’m glad to have done so.
Tim Leffel (Travel Writing 2.0) has a no-nonsense straightforward group for professional travel writers. That’s “professional” as in, “I do this for money”, and not for peanuts or vanity or any of the other things that don’t pay the bills.
I am sure I could ask Tim specific questions from time to time and get a direct and useful answer.
The second is someone I know but haven’t worked with yet, known as The Gentle Author, creator of SpitalfieldsLife.com, a great blog from London. TGA (short for The Gentle Author) has a weekend blogging course I have been wanting to do for a long time and this year it has finally worked out. From what I already know of TGA, again I believe a specific, thought-out question would probably get a straightforward reply.
I find both Tim and TGA inspiring because they get on with it. Lots of us have ideas but many (like me) get blown off course again and again and again. Both Tim and TGA are quite obviously committed to getting the job done.
